As the relegation match between PGS and Evoplay approaches a lot of confusion occured, initiated by SmdK and Quai leaving the roster of Evoplay. While SmdK decided to join forces with PGS the situation started to become complicated when Quai was added to NWRS' roster but left the Clan shortly afterwards to join up with Evoplay again. Initialy the teams were told to add every player they want to use during the relegation match 14 days beforehand. Based on this statement PGS postulated that Quai wont be allowed to play for Evoplay in the upcoming match.
After investigating this issue we took several points into consideration before we decided on this topic: first of all the relegation match has to be distinguished from a regular season match due to its importance. Furthermore Quai did not play any matches nor represent any other clan before joining Evoplay again. Given the particular circumstances we do not regard him as a new addition to the roster of Evoplay. This is even emphasized by the fact that Quai has a valid and running contract with Evoplay. We see our main duty in ensuring a fair competition between both teams, especially because of the importance of this match, which is why Quai will be allowed to play the relegation match versus PGS.
The situation was a very tricky one and it was very hard to come to a final decision. Due to the unique circumstances we decided to supersede the rules and regulations to preserve the spirit of competition. We wish both teams the best of luck for the upcoming match.
Note: it goes without saying that Mars, as member of Evoplay, was not involved in the process of this decision at any time.
