08/27/07     Team NoA relegates to NGL TWO / New Relegation Match

As a consequence of Team NoA's refusal of NGL Finals last wednesday the NGL ONE decided not to kick Team NoA out of all tournaments - nevertheless they won't go on playing in NGL ONE. As mentioned in our rules and regulations and with consultation of G7 we decided that they won't receive their attendence fee and decline to NGL TWO.

The new ranking now shows Team Delta on position eight, so they will get the chance to play a new relegation match against evoplay - the match has to be played until Sunday, September 2nd. After we have finished our Qualifier the next season will start on Monday, September 3rd.  We will also release a new mappack to be used for the upcoming season. It will be available within the next days.

Sad, I don't see why the players have to face this punishment. It's clearly not their fault but oh well, someone suffers. Didn't think NGL would do that tho...

The account, and therefore the whole team, gets punished as they broke the rules and relegation and now they have to cope with the consequences.

The rules are very clear about that and as the G7 supports also the decision I don't see any problems with this. Of course it's sad for the players but this is an issue they will have to discuss with their team and management, not with the NGL.

Do you know this effects the teams in NGL two also? since NoA will certainly advance to NGL1 now, taking the slot from other teams. They where finalists ffs, this is retarded imo.

If somebody wants to participate in a league with offline finals he has to be able to attend them if he qualifies. If they are not able to do so they should not participate.

In my opinion the right decision. And it`s also the fairest way for Team Delta and evoplay.

The decision is not final yet. They are still discussing whether they will participate or not. As soon as there is an official statement of NoA we will tell you.
