NGL ONE WarCraft III 1on1 competition
During the last two and a half years the NGL ONE attracted the worldwide WarCraft III scene with a professional team elimination competition. We feel that it is time to change our competition format and are proud to announce a new NGL ONE WarCraft III 1on1 competiton. Overall 24 players will compete in an online season with a length of twelve match days; facing 2 opponents per match day. At the end of the season the eight top-ranked players advance to compete against each other in an offline played NGL ONE final event. Each of those eight players gets 500$ travel cost support to be able to attend the final event. Also the NGL ONE will pay for the players’ accommodation and will provide a shuttle service for them. At the NGL ONE final, the players fight for the NGL ONE trophy and 17,500 $ cash prizes for places one to three.
To determine the 24 contestants the NGL ONE will nominate 8 players for direct invitation. Additional 12 spots will be filled by players attending online qualifications which they need to apply for. The remaining four players will be voted by the community out of a list of nominated players. By this system of invitation, qualification and voting we want to ensure that the players you like to see in the competition and that you feel deserve to play for the NGL title will get their chance to compete in our brand-new professional gaming competition.
NGL WarCraft III 3on3 competition
We know that some of the best-known clans in the world think about a reorganization of their WarCraft III teams due to financial aspects of team competitions. We decided to keep the team competition alive for interested teams but know that, due to the changes, the target group will change to semi-professional and casual teams. For the upcoming season the prize money is lowered to a total amount 3,000$ per season, while the whole season and the final will be played online. At the same time the size of the competition teams will be lowered to three players. We are going to design an open competition format to allow anyone to compete in the NGL WarCraft III elimination league.
More details upon the start of the two leagues and the qualification will be announced after the upcoming NGL ONE final event.
